Looks pretty good Michael. You seem to be avoiding a beginners mistake by making the "V" too deep. Make Chips!!!

Michael - I like it so far. Are you going to gild/paint as in the top mock-up? It's weird, seeing this post made me remember a dream I had last night where I was carving some quarterboard-style signs.
