This is one of my first shots at pinstriping. I've played with the mack brushes a few times but I sat down and "jammed" a panel. This was a gift to my wife (hence the flowery purply pink vibe) I want to step up my striping skills and start doing cars, bikes, boats or whatever. I know it's not a traditional design , but I just kind of let the brish hit the metal to find out what would come out of it.

I'd suggest try & get more finesse into it- finer gentler tapers with the long ends- and it'll look classier.

She loved it...ha, ha. I want to develop my own style , but I do want to do some traditional stuff too. I guess I'll have to start off taking inspiration from other stripers until I develop a unique style, I love the stripers tough, they feel right in my hand. If someone could post a few examples of the type of styles to work on first, like the more common things people are looking for , I'd appreciate it. thanks. 5geez

Dawud, see if Atomik Matt Burfield is listed on any of the striping sites. His work is unusual...and killer. Yours has a certain rudimentary similarity...keep practicing! I can't stripe well at all. Love....Jill

Thats cool.. NOw ive not painted any signs or done any striping.. It actually reminds me of folk art painting I Have done decorative painting for years.. and years.. and that looks so much like some of the things we did when i was taking my teaching certification classes from priscilla hauser (you wouldnt know who she is unless ya did that kinda painting) and we had to learn the strokes used. Im gonna have to break out my brushes now and practice my strokes..

OK, here's a real simple move that can be the base for hundreds of designs. I've shown it on a horizontal and a vertical. It will work as a single, double like I've shown or a triple or even more. I've shown a couple of basic designs done with this single move.
