You really do some nice work. Between this and the deer sign I'm amazed!

Thanks Jamie and Dennis! [Smile]

Does anyone have any other ideas for that ribbon?

Thanks,

joe,

that looks excellent, the ribbon looks fine, trust me, sometimes we stare at our own work too long and think somethings wrong with it, but in reality, it looks great.

If you think it looks good here Jamie, you haveto see Joe's work in person. The images literally transcend the substrate... now if he could just drink beer without getting sleepy right away.... [Rolling On The Floor]

Joe, That looks awesome. Its ALMOST the view out of my window right now. I'm a minute or 2 from a lighthouse just like that. Next time I venture OTB, ( Over The Bridge) I will have to come by your shop if thats cool.

Thanks Everyone!

Duncan,.......RELAX!!!!!! [Wink]

Chris, you are welcome anytime. I have a guest room if you would like to spend the night......it's a long drive! Or, I could meet you more than half way at Mass Mayhem VII.

The lighthouse is the Nauset Light. I took a healthy dose of artistic license in the design to put everything together.

Thanks Again,

Joe,

Joe love this one too.

I got in to see the steps on the other sign, it was inspirational watching step by step.

You sure can put life in them.

Joe,
Another fine piece. Bravo.
By the way, a little birdy told me you have some non-sign carvings that are magnificent. I think you might slip a couple of pics in here without getting spanked. :-)

Joe, you just keep getting better, you have really perfected the art of relief carving.

I love not only the carving...what a relief!
[Smile]
But the colors are lovely as well.
Since you asked (really it is fine as is) I would have made it the natural wood tone with the reddish stained lettering.
Love....Jill

Thanks Bill & Jill,

Jill, the problem with that is that carved letters need to be a light color so the shading will show. If they are painted a dark color the dimension which is created by the shadows is lost because the shadows don't show.
[I Don t Know]

Thanks Again,

Joe,
