Though I have made samples for display before, this is the first sandblasted cedar sign I've ever sold. White cedar with gold leaf and carved HDU fish. Big thanks to Rodger MacMunn for cutting and blasting the panel and to Murray for the carving advice.
The customer requested the colours (matching the building), but liked the very first layout and never even hesitated about the price. I wish I had more customers like him!

Nice! That's one to be proud of. It's fancy and friendly at the same time. Bet it brings in many more sign jobs. love....Jill

I wish my first sign was that nice, beautifull work. Lotti, we have never met, but let me tell you, you have your finger right on it... I don't know what your main market is, but you said "never hesitated about the price", that is the key...
You probably had more fun doing it, you've probably were never so proud about a job you did and the money was good with little experience...
Start to filter out the jobs that don't make you proud, the ones you're not sure are lucrative and those who require an upgrade every 6 month.
I don't even own a plotter anymore, I focus on what I want my life to be and I wish you the same (if you desire it)... Remember, the money you don't have to spend... you don't have to earn !
Nice sign! you should come to Toronto.

Wow! You didn't "flounder" around on that job! That's a great sign, and I agree the fish looks good enough to put in the pan.
Very nice Lotti.

Lol, I can just hear one of his beer buddies say: You spent how much on this thing? I bought the wife a fish just like that for last Christmas. Twelve bucks at WalMart and IT SINGS, man!

VERY NICE! What font is the McCullough and where can I get it?
Posted by Lotti Prokott (Member # 2684) on :
Thank you Beth. The font is Victorian, with a slightly modified M and C, plus I made it a little bolder than the version I have. I don't remember where I got it from in the first place, but I found it for you here .
