Here's a job I did on Friday. 2 sides, rear and front, plus we designed their logo. Next comes their brochure and web site.
Dog was digitally printed and laminated, and front and rears was printed as well. All else in vinyl - 3m Control tac. Man that makes installs easy.
John Aiello from Lightning Signs printed the graphics for me on his 54" versacamm, and also helped me install the job. All told, install took about 7.5 hours.
I think this is one of my nicest vans, actually. Client said Lawn Doctor and ChemLawn were his biggest competitors -- well I think he can hold his own now up against those franchises.

It has a very clean coroporate look. I like the choice of colors. The lack of PS effects help keep it very clean.
Very nice job, Dan!

I agree with Brooce. It's too easy to start adding digital effects galore (I know) when printing, but this works very well. Nice effective design. Too many conservative customers are afraid to try things like this. Dan, I thought you had a Versacamm?

I do have a versacamm - but mine only goes 30" and that dog was like 50" wide or so.

Nice, clean and effective with the right amount of flavour to it. I like the cartoon! Should be a head turner.
Great work Dan.

Dan - Lots of fun. Looks great!
BTW, I enjoyed seeing your books featured in the University & College Designers Association magazine - right across the page from my own!

Consistently brilliant Dan, way to go.

I like it! The orange & green go together well.
Dan, on the other side, is the dog still facing the back, and the sun & swoosh at the bottom highest at the front, or is it an exact duplicate of that side?
As I see it, you could keep the dog, hill & sunset as well as 'Natural' and just reverse 'Turf' and it would fit as an inverse if that's the right word. (It's not a negative. Mirror maybe?)

Awesome Dan! But I don't understamd the 30" Versa Camm not being used to print this. One seam? But a great Job as usual. And the coment on it not being Photo Shopped to death is Right On!

Neil-
Just didnt really have the time to print it - so I just sent the files to John at Lightning and he did it. We could have had one seam in the middle vertically I guess If I had done it here.
For the Passenger Side, the dog is facing the other direction mirrored (but we fixed the lettering on his hat) and Natural Turf is on the back portion of the van. We mirrored the grass as well.
The dog was illustrated by my illustrator, and it 'loosely' based off his existing 'mascot'.

For a young whipper-snapper you design pretty good.
Actually, it is a great design. As others have said, very clean and to the point. You always capture just the right mood. Simplicity always comes across as readable and direct to the point. Dan has the knack of knowing when to keep things simple and when to put in the bells and whistles.
Just think how good Dan is going to be when he gets to be an old man.

Dan,
Perfect! That van/logo design is so clear an advertising message that it should be used as a classroom example:
1.) Easy to Read 2.) Service is instantly identifiable - - no overly cluttered graphics/design. 3.) Bright, eye catching colors. 4.) Fun to look at.
Bravo! Masterful piece in my opinion.

Dan, I love the design. That will look great on t-shirts, lawn signs, etc.... And very easy to reproduce, large or small. Again, awesome job!
