We built the cap from 4 pieces of HDU cut to the shape and laminated together (two 2" and 2 1"). The only carving is the tooth which is mounted on a 1" HDU oval. The posts are 6x6 cedar. I had the brackets fabricated by a local welding shop.

Brian, I was asked to quote on a similar sign today. The letters will be incised though rather than flat letter.
As I am new to this I am very curious on your final price on this unit.
