Hi Heads.
Just tried Mike Jackson's tip for Gerber exports and it is GREAT.
The top 2 are my proposed ideas. The bottom logo is the client's existing design. Comments?

Sorry Jill...to small to see much.

Edit: You made it bigger as I was postting.
I like the one on the right. Could still be a little larger.

Jill...well, you asked for it.

The top left design: When I squint all I read is Graham and a phone number, but it doesn't tell me what they do. I am a firm believer in the product or service being the priority copy. Graham wants his name big (and the phone number), but that is not his best selling point (unless he has been in business a long time).

I would give more emphasis to Plumbing, etc. like the one on the bottom.

Designing is the fun part of our business, but it is like eating peanuts...you don't when to stop.

Your work looks very good...clean and sharp.

Thank you both for your input.
Around here, we have a lot of heating & cooling companies. This man wanted his name to stand out & I agreed it would be a good idea. Below is his logo as well as an old logo (1999) I did for his biggest competitor. I know both are kinda iffy, but remember this is just me! [Dunno]

I apologize for the rampant use of distortion as well as the Brush Script! Also, I forgot to mention that this logo goes on a big Chevy truck. I taked him into side flames...what is hotter?

Hi Jill,

I like the black & white graham logo you posted. I like how the sun sits in the space created by the G & H. I'd like to see the color version of it. I'd like to see the Graham in yellow and the information bar in orange. This would pop the graham off the red truck and make it the most important part of the copy. I know you are good with colors though, you'll make it great!

I really like the black and white version as well.

I'd make it stand out even more by making the 'Graham' yellow at the bottom and fade up to white with a black outline. You could even keep the panel black and do the secondary copy in yellow. I wouldn't put a white outline around it like you've shown in the coloured version. It makes it look too much like a sticker. [Smile]

Just some thoughts. [Smile]

Bottom left has the highest contrast and is the easiest to read....in my opinion. Looks good.
