Wish I could take credit for this graphic design. The graphic was done by another design firm who asked me for some input on making it a cool sign. I came up with the dimensional sign aspects of this thing. They were thrilled with my ideas.

I finished building it last Friday.

Hot 'n Fresh!

Another Slice?

Hold the Anchovies!

I do a lot of work for a company who does Children's Hands On Museum Exhibits throughout the world. This Pizza sign is for an exhibit at "Great Explorations" here in St. Petersburg.

This one was so much fun, I actually made myself an extra pizza box for my showroom wall! hahaaa

That is really neat Nettie! I can't wait for the chance to make something dimensional like that.

Two thumbs up Janette!
(I think Steve needs to add another Message Icon [Wink] )

Is that some sandblasting on the inside of the box? Looks great!

I have to agree with most of the others, I too like dimensional work.

Keep it up and thanks for sharing!

Way cool Nettie!

Can you give us more details on the materials and assembly?

Thank you for the kudos!

Suelynn ... this one has alot of steps, as well as some curvy cutting! whew!

The back board is MDF, and all painted. Various steps of mask and paint. Started by painting the background completey orange, then did the sun burst, then the green,(A little slice of heaven was masked). Lastly the border, I hand brushed that.

The fat 'n funky pizza letters are cut HDU. I used a scroll saw, then sanded them smooth, rounding the edges some.

The pizza box is HDU. Sandblasted.

The swirly steam pieces and the halo are thin wood. (one-quarter inch thick) I cut those on the scroll saw, then sanded, primed & painted. Those small halo glow pieces were fun ... Hah! [Smile]

The toppings were one-eighth thick pieces of pvc, cut on the scroll saw. (more fun!)

I appreciate your feedbacks!
