Here's a couple windows we did lately. They were designed by the talented designer Nettie!

Hey! I like how you handled the colours!
So cool to get to work with you, thanks for that opportunity.
We're getting excited about your meet. Hey, what's with the suit on your pic? Ya getting ready to take a trip down the aisle or something???? heehee!
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday Pierre.

My only question is... How come the drop shadows have several different light sources instead of just lower right or left?
I think it would have more impact with one light source.
JMO.....

Adrienne, Happy people have more than one sun in their life! Just kidding!

Heck, I've been accused of being too happy and it certainly does seem like we have more than one sun-source down here in Florida! whew! hahaa!
Pierre likes what he calls my "fuzzy" style of design. Translation being: "funky". So here's the funky design I presented him with on this. It may help in gaining some understanding of the challenge Pierre faced on this, with some of the limitations of window splashes.
I have zero experience in window splashes and only after doing this layout did I learn that Pierre uses only 5 "glow" colours and generally outlines everything. Though this finished window doesn't exactly translate my original design, I think Pierre pulled it off pretty well.
Thanks again Pierre, this was fun! Hey, I'll do better next time!

thats really thinkin outside the box its funky its looks french , i like it

Ohhhh....I get it.....
It's a FRENCH thing............
...I hope you won't all hate me.....
OK....here's my opinion, and it's just my opinion, but...
I think the shadows confuse the eye....the boxes tipping every which way add to the confusion, making the whole image too busy.
I think the green outline clashes with the main colors (I personally hate green with orange)
To much orange/red, needs a complimentary color, like purple or blue somewhere... And I don't understand why the dollar sign is after the price, doesn't make sense to me.
And finally...the lettering is a bit too funky for me....
OK, now you will all hate me and say mean things about me at all the meets.. ...must be due to the moon being in a half stage...
Yes Pierre, I admit, I'm just not happy enough!!
But if I was as happy as that picture of you, they might get suspicious!

That's something else I learned in this project ... the dollar sign behind the numbers IS a french thing!
I'm still a fan of yours Adrienne. Love your work, and your wit on this board. Looking forward to meeting you.
Thanks for the feedback! Nettie

I think Nettie should be Letterville Merchant--- she gets so much sub work from us!
She's my official "I'm stuck on this logo - HELP" go-to person. She brings that fresh approach to logo design - something I need to work on, for sure!
I keep asking her to move to NJ but she refuses... so I had to go to FL, at least so I could finally meet her in person...
I like the splash--- def. outside the box- and it gets your attention for sure...
When I grow up, I wanna be just like Nettie! I just don't want to live in FL-- its just so damn hot down there...!

It's DIFFERENT alright!
Bit confusing to the eye, but certainly attracts it!
Other than the shadows Adrienne comments on I think the problem is the frames between the windows breaking it up. I mask these off with application tape and paint over them as if it was a continuous panel. Then you don't get the "black" vertical lines breaking up your design. I also tape off joins in flat glass windows. Two reasons. First they usually have silicone (paint don't stick) and second it's easier to clean off after.
Final comment ... a white outline around the whole thing would make it jump outa the window.
