Here's the final results of my other post. The trailer goes for clearcoat tomorrow. I put some flames on the side and will get pics of the whole thing after clear and buff.

Thanks all...I'm really just beginning to do more with the airbrush. I just bought a new Iwata HPC last year and am starting to get a feel for it. I've always done a little airbrushing, but it used to intimidate me. I have picked up many tips watching Joey Hutson and Mike Lavallee at recent meets. Those guys rock!

Mark, What did you do to the background to give it the oil on water effect, or is that just the way it photographed?

Donald T., the trailer is sanded for clear and I guess the light on the surface created that background effect you talked about.
Thanks again for all the comments, everyone.

Mark....
just one question. When you shadow goes over several colors, say like in the flag folds, do you mix darker shades of each color, or do you spray a tinted clear over the shaded areas?

Jeff, I make some weak black with tinting clear for shadows and build up for darker areas. Same with white highlights...clear with a few drops of tinting white. Gives a more soft, subtle effect. It's easy kill a design with too much straight black or white.
