Is it just too much?

I think it looks good Joe. Are you getting them done by PostCard Press?

Heck no! Not too much ... it's snazzy!
I like the way the blue juts into the scene from the top left.

Nice use of space. Lot's of info, yet you don't feel smothered by it.

Thanks, Amy & Janette.

I am planning on using a company here in Florida called Discount Prints. I got a flyer in the mail from them a while back. We had them print some cards for us about a month ago, and they came out very nice. 1000 single sided, full color, 4 side bleed, silk laminated finish on both sides (which darn near makes them tear-proof) delivered in less than a week for $48.00. The only complaint I had was they didn't box them. They banded them in stacks of about 100 cards, so the top cards had a little kink to 'em. No biggie.

The card I sent was this one for Ruben. The fades and shades came out perfect.

Actually the fades came out much better than it is showing here. No banding, nice and smooth.

Joe: great bus. card!
I don't understand how you can get full color print for such a low price? They have to burn plates, set the press, and depending on the press run it through 4 times. How is it possible? Is it some different process than actually a printing press? I'm getting some done today, and that's my cost for 500 one color with a 50% screen on the logo... Setting up a press and cleaning ink so on takes time... arrggghhhh! I'm confused again!

Brian,

They can do these prints reasonably because they are probably gang printing 20 different sets of cards at a time.

There are several printers that do a really nice job. I think I am going to check out the place Joe sent his. Maybe the one Amy mentioned, too.

Joe... The cards look mah-va-lusssssssss... Excellent.

Have a great one!

Looks great Joe. Very eye appealing card, and it conveys that you know what you are doing.

Brian, they run those cards off Digital Presses now so there isn't any labor involved at all. You should check out postcardpress.com 1000 full color cards with a slick UV coating for $60, $72 if you want the backside printed with black.. great deal especially when you can turn around and sell the same cards to your customer for $250. [Smile]

I use postcard press all the time and their work is excellent. In fact, I need to put a new card together to promote my new PT Cruiser graphics. [Smile]

Joe, can you post or email the contact info & web address for Discount Prints in Florida? I've used other companies that charged around that price, but never received quality prints in return. Your's looks great!

I use a source that I shared with this board a few months ago. I get 1000 full color, full bleed business cards (boxed) for $33. And, if you want the backside done, full color, full bleed it is $29 for the first 1000. Of course you have to pay shipping which is $6 for the first 1000 and $1.50 each additional 1000. It is shipped UPS Ground. The quality is just perfect. I will try to attach a copy of a job I did but I never have very good luck posting. So if it doesn't work, i.e. little red 'x' box from hell, would someone please post it for me? Thanks! I guess I should let you know the name of the printing source, eh? It is Color Cards Direct. They are out of Troy, Michigan. I have had pretty good success with them. The web address is www.ccdresellers.com

Here's my attempt at posting (again)...

Let's try this posting thing again...
 - Wooooo-hooooooooo! It worked!! Well, at least I can see it! That was too dang easy! I created a free website (I won't call it that now)at sitegem.com just so I could post some stuff here and it was easy. Please let me know if everybody else sees it. Sorry if I sound too excited (I think I just wet my pants) but I've been trying to do this for so long. Anyway, the scan of this card doesn't do justice to the quality. If you have any questions about Color Cards Direct I'll try to answer them if I can. See ya!
