Here is the latest project. It is airbrushed and hand brushed. The bus is 40' long. The mural goes all around the bus.

Project took 2 weeks...very intense. All artwork was done with acrylics and brush. Spraying was done with gravity feed gun and airbrush. finish coat was automotive clear. Lettering on side and logo on rear done in 1-shot enamel.

They loved it so much , they bought another one just like it. It belongs to the S'KLALLAM tribe elders. It will have a scene of an old indian village on one side and totems on the other. I will post pictures when done. I LOVE this job!!!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Very nice Jackson. What type of acrylic did you mention? A waterborne artist type or auto acrylic enamels?

Very Cool!

I also would like to know what kind of acrylics you used and if you did the 1-Shot before or after the clear.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone...It was a FUN job.

I used CelVinyl paints...a waterbased artist paint. It is one of the best around. I also use Golden acrylics. The coverage is pretty good on both...but CelVinyl seems to hold up the best. The final clear was put on after the 1-shot enamel. We put an automotive sealer on the factory finish, after scuffing up the paint...then after the spray work was done...I scuffed up the surface in the area I was painting. The automotive clear worked perfectly over acrylics.

I really love to work in acrylics...I feel comfortable. I love the drying time..cause once you have your head right and get into it, it is nice to just keep going. Joey wants me to check out HOK paints...and I intend to do it as soon as I can...so I'll let you know how I like it...(It is tuff trying to teach an old dog new tricks, Joey!)...but I do trust and appreciate your input. [Smile]

Now I ask you..."Is this job fun, or what?" [Cool] [Cool]
