Here is one that was done back in the spring of 98; these pictures were taken in October 99 while still employed at Stoner Graphix. Sign has a little bit of everything; sandblasting, router, carving, domed epoxy letters, smaltz, gilding, and urethane basecoat/clearcoat paint.

American Legion logo with our interpretation of dimension; identification riders above and below; 4’ diameter and double faced. Constructed from various thickness and densities of HDU with aluminum box tubing for the framework. Sign is just less than 9” at its widest point. AMERICAN, LEGION, and US have a two part epoxy applied to the top of the letters before gilding. Blue rings, riders, and center “US” circle are sandblasted with the center inner part of the blue rings being black smaltz.

Customer selected a rather boring “base” compared to some others that were sketched and proposed. It’s constructed from white hand split brick to match the building. Externally illuminated from ground-mounted spotlights. Whole thing overlooks the Susquehanna River and the State Capitol from the West Shore of Greater Harrisburg.

I love it!!! My favorite kind of work. I'm in the process right now of making my shop sign with all the same elements as you just did.

Great work!
