Just thought I'd share one of our recent jobs. The background is turned aluminum, the dolphin is carved HDU, and the lettering is vinyl on a lexan panel.

That's really neat Joe. I really like the use of materials there. I wonder if that's what someone was referring to with the term "ziggled" aluminum a little while ago on here...------------------Bob Darnell London, Ontario, Canada _______________________ Personal portfolio: www.members.home.net/bob.darnell Where I work: Excellent Signs and Displays Inc. _______________________

Thanks. No idea about "ziggled". But you can grind all kinds of fun patterns (or just crazy non-patterns) A nice figure eight pattern looks cool too.------------------ Joe Endicott Graphic Arts Gulf Breeze, FL joesign1@bellsouth.net

Eric, we used a drill with a scotch-brite pad (they work better than brillo)------------------ Joe Endicott Graphic Arts Gulf Breeze, FL joesign1@bellsouth.net

Thanks guys! If you've never done the turned aluminum, you really should. It's easy (but can take a while) and has a cool effect------------------ Joe Endicott Graphic Arts Gulf Breeze, FL joesign1@bellsouth.net
