Maybe someone could post how to put a photo into here, explaining it in terms that even I could understand?!? That might be why more people don't show off their stuff here. I MIGHT even do that...maybe...

Um, I printed that out, but don't have a clue what it means! Only been online since May and never seen internet before that. Don't know what anything stands for! I know how to get here, and that's about it (but is there anything else ?!)

I emailed a photo to my Dad. For some reason that actually worked. But I don't know how to put the picture here. And I don't know how to speak computer.

Dana,

Maybe the part that confuses some people is that you first need to get your photo onto the internet somewhere. Most ISP's (Internet Service Providers) give a small amount of space on there servers for users to use as personal web space. The other alternative is there are dozens of sites out there that offer free space on the internet for you to use. Once you have your pic on the web, you would enter your message as normal plus add the line that points to the address of your pic. For example... I have a pic, when I am typing my message it would look like this-

Once I post my message the link I made would become active for anyone to look at and would look like this -

http://www.netrax.net/~graphics/images/Sign.jpg

To have the pic show up right in my message I would simply replace the letters 'url' in the above to 'img'.

Contact your ISP and see if they offer you any space on there sever. They can also give you complete instructions on uploading your picks to there server.

Hope this helps...

When I signed up for internet, they asked if I wanted a web page, but it was $30 per month, and I really couldn't justify it. Internet is only $15.

Why do some people post pics directly on here to view, while others have places to go to view? I guess I could use someone here looking over my shoulder and trying to explain stuff to me. Just learning as I go...kinda like here in my shop!!! Sorry to be a pain in the...

Dana
Go to this site: http://www.tripod.com/planet/membership/signup /
They will walk you through the process of setting up a free website. I don't know any more about computers than you do and I managed to do it. Have fun.
