Whew..............!!!! I just got done woodgraining on double fiberglass entry doors at two different locations in mahogany.
One was in a multi-million$$$ new home, 9+' double entry, inside and out, done in all acrylics. Basecoated with Ronan Aztec Gold, three layers of different brown glazes for the woodgrain effect & sprayed acrylic clearcoat.
I am using some of Shep's system as well as my own.
I am pretty much burned out physically, lots of squats, up & down, up & down, repeat..........
Glad they are done as I have some signs to get done! Should have pics soon.
Cheers

Sounds gorgeous, Rob. My grandma's 1899 farmhouse had a lot of beautiful "turkey-feather" graining in it. It was absolutely wonderful. I was told it was done by a traveling painter. I live in a 1930 Cape Cod in which every wood surface has been hand-grained in an off-beat retro style. I think a Lucy Ricardo-looking housewife probably did it. In many spots it has alligatored, but I love it anyway. Can't wait to see your pics! Put some horse liniment on those knees! Love- JILL
