I'm home briefly from the hospital to pick up some supplies.

My wife, Colleen gave birth to our first baby last night at 8:20. A baby boy we have named Jackson Aaron Whynott. He came out at a whopping 8lbs 9oz and 21" long.

He's perfect!! [Big Grin]

He surprised the heck out of Colleen. For no good reason, she was certain she was having a small baby girl. I had even put together a little website for her. Now I'm going to have to redo it to make it suit a boy!

I had planned on boring you with pictures too, but I left my camera at the hospital. I'll upload them tomorrow if we get home. [Big Grin]

I'm already learning to cope with very little sleep. The first night, even though he wasn't fussy, he didn't want to sleep. I stayed up all night watching him and occasionally picking him up and walking around the hallways with him.

We're already buddies. [Smile]

Congratulations, Terry and Colleen, on your new little buddy.

My buddy, my grandson, will be spending the night with us tonight. We bought a crib and car seat for the occasion--it is like time warping back 28 years!

Say good- bye to life as you knew it - and hello to joys and feelings and experiences you can't imagine just yet.

My best wishes and congratulations.

Terry, now you need to get together with Mike and see if the two of you can do an arranged marriage or something between your boy and his girl!
Letterville can watch them grow up together!
Just a crazy late-night idea.

congrats Terry and Colleen! Bless your little one and good luck on the sleep. I say ditch the diapers, get diaper service, invite your inlaws, sisters and brothers, friends and everyone to rock and feed the baby, forget the house, GET THAT SLEEP!"
lol, what Jill says, and if that doesn't work out with the marriage of the two, at least, they can be great signshop partners!!! oh, what do I know, I'm just a signshop granny!

Congratulations. Our first son was almost a Christmas baby, too. Saturday (Dec.20) he will be 37.

And it's true - cherish every moment, he will be grown before you know it.

Luckily, my son and I have been buddies for 37 years, and now he works with me. While he was living at home during his teen years his room looked like a bomb had gone off in there and now he complains to me because I don't pick up stuff at the studio. My, how times have changed.

Thank you all so much! [Big Grin]

Sorry it has taken so long to get back here to reply to all these wonderful messages. It sure has been an exciting bunch of days. I'm learning what it's like to operate on just a couple hours sleep every night. I never thought I'd be able to do that, but somehow I've adapted to it.

It took an extra day to get out of the hospital. We came home at 4:00am Wednesday. We had a really great private room that had a small bed that allowed me to stay the nights and help out. Wednesday night came around and the rooms were starting to overflow. Our private room was becoming semi-private, so with the nurses permission, we checked out.

I've put together a little website to show him off. Take a look if you'd like to see him. I'd love it if you'd take a second and sign his guestbook. Years down the road I could show him how friends from all over the world knew about him and wished him well.

http://www3.sympatico.ca/twhynott/

Congratulations as well to Mike for the arrival of his daughter and to Bob, Gail and Devo with their new grandkids! [Big Grin]

He's sleeping now, and we're off to bed to try to get an hour or two in before he wakes up again. [Roll Eyes]

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
