Hi guys. I'm working on one of the hotel signs I mentioned this AM. It'll be a 3x4 vert installed on a couple 4x4 posts. I thought of bolting a steel plate with a "cup" to the floor & screwing the post in place, but I think it'll look like hell. I've also been thinking of a nice planter box.
Any idears?

What about a short section of steel tube welded to a plate, setup so you can set the steel on the floor, set the sign posts into each tube, run a bolt through so the signs cant be lifted out then use a "boot" to cover the connection?
Planters are always good, although if there are little kids around they might make a mess of the dirt.
