Co-Owner and Operator, Helen Strang has painted this entire mural using only One-Shot. The mural spans 40' long, and uses local surroundings as the subject matter. The river, the wild life, and scenery of California's Gold Rush country.
Helen's background is in Printed Media. Her forte is Illustrations. She started as an Inker, B.C. (before computers) doing handlettering, and graphics.
Need an illustration? (suttle hint)

Can't imagine painting a 40ft mural in one shot!
I use acrylics! I am in and out like a dose of salts Airbrush and spray gun speed the process up even faster. Impatient old fart. Clear coat after not only protects your work but evens out the gloss on the airbrushing overspray.
Drying time on enamels would "drive me to the wall!"

Nice job Helen..but... I agree with Jon ...why One Shot when acrylics are far superior for mural work (colors will last longer with acrylics and the oils just get soaked up in the wall)...inside or out....and indoors?...forGETaboutit! The fumes are awful and I want to live a few more years with all I have left of my 48 brain cells
Anyway...it looks good!
The cabinet (?) looks really nice too, BTW

I think it looks great! I like her style a lot.
Jon, could you tell me what you use for a clearcoat? And are you talking outdoors or indoors. Thanks
