The impact he's had with me and alot of the people on this board is all that counts, so to me he'll never die! The rest are posers that wear his clothes and dont know who the heck he is or what he's about. Let em pose!

yeah, I just LOVE seeing Rap moguls, teenagers, and Mariah Carey parading around in Von Dutch Tees and hats...many of them probably think Von Dutch is a type of Danish chocolate or something...

I was watching this show called "Living Large" last weekend, and they interviewed the guys behind the Von Dutch stores.
They bought the rights to the name and logo from the Von Dutch estate, they also told the show's host Von Dutch was against commercialism. When asked "How do you think Von Dutch would react to this?" they responded while chuckling "He's rolling in his grave."
Ya know, there's nothing keeping any of us from making our own Von Dutch clothing for ourselves, at least we know the story behind the name and some of the old-timers even knew the man himself. It's not like they have any way to tell what's fake and what's "original" because all their products are fakes anyway, and they dont even have a set product line since they make "custom" clothing for the rich posers.
