Finally one for me! I've been waiting for a goal like: take the day off, go shopping, destroy the telephone or similar relaxing things. Playing sounds ok

Went to "Cat in the Hat" with my 2 year old daughter this evening.......that's what it was all about.......how to play and have fun......and it was.

That's EXACTLY what Saturdays are for!
I hope to build a 48 inch sheet metal brake, then use it to make replcement parts for my '62 Dodge panel truck.
Maybe some blacksmithing while the children get the horse (Bounty) out and ride her.
Then supper with friends.

Play shouldn't be a problem here today! I have Cody's 4 yr old friend coming for the entire day. And it MAY snow, oh man I hope it does! Can't resist playing in that stuff.
John, how did you personally find Cat In The Hat? It isn't rated that good here but the kids don't generally care about that part. We may go anyway. I can't resist going to a movie with that awesome popcorn!

Well, I do have just a little work to do here this morning, but then the fun starts. It's our annual dinner at the firehall. An all out event, no expense spared with an exquisite dinner, many fine spirits and ales, great music and dancing, and a truley enjoyable time with some of the best folks I cherish and trust my life with.
Cant wait to get started, so better get back things done here first. Thanks Donna! 8)

Play?
Sure!!!
Spent the day with my son working on a storage shed roof...can you say "Hammer Toss"? He's really good at "Shingle Frisbee"! Hits the dumpster every time.

My mini goal for Saturday, November 22 is to get through the entire day without seeing JFK get shot. 5 hrs to go and I will have achieved it.

We had two mini goals today... met them both and more.
The goals were to finsh welding anf finish mudding our project here in Edmonton. We did that and more. Another day and a haof to go and then it's off home at last.
In keeping with your mini goal...
I have been refusing to make any business appointments until I get home and kick back a lot. My goal is to make time for ALL the things Janis has kindly put off for the last months as we built the new shop and then hit the road for the last two months on this job.
The home stuff is important too and is the reason we work so hard when we are on the road! So that comes firt the next while.

Funny, James D, I just bought a 49" brake yesterday- home made. I had a good book on how to make one, & got some materials to do an oversized 2 metre one, but never got around to it after I bought a 37" folder (home made) at an auction for $110. Then this came up- it's a pan brake type with removable inserts for different widths, for $250. It weights about 120kg, but is quite handy- not absolutely perfect though! Good luck with yours.
