The FedEx guy just dropped a prize in my lap.

Mike Jackson's Americana Collection is the best yet of the four collections that Golden Era Studios has produced. The full color cover just hints at the great images inside. The gears in my head are already turning just thinking about all the great stuff I can produce with this clip art. Two full fonts are also included.

If you can't make $215 from the use of this collection there is something seriously wrong. I'm in the process of designing a dimensional sign for a lawyer and will incorporate some new stuff from this CD. This one sign will put the money back in the bank which I just sent to Mike. After that everything else is gravy.

I'm not getting a dime from Mike for pushing his CD, nor has he asked me to plug his work. I do it because it is just absolutely great stuff and will benefit anyone who uses it.

Please do this for Mike: Don't buy this and make copies or accept copies from someone else. Somehow we have the idea that once it hits the street it's anyone's property. We don't want folks stealing from us...please don't steal from Mike. He has poured himself into this project - respect his ability by using your integrity.

I have made comment on clip-art from time to time, THIS IS NOT CLIP-ART! I have done my share of period signage, and produce my own ornaments based on original-turn of the century drawings. Mike CD's are perfect period ornamants and this collection is by far the best of the bunch (not that the others arent great), and a must have if you do period signage, even if you dont, get it! If my boss doesnt get this collection, I might have to buy it myself, when I get my bonus, great job Mike!

Here, here, Raymond!

You couldn't have said it any better. My money will be going out soon (hopefully for the complete set).

Raymond, thanks for the overly kind words about the new collection. Hopefully people will get some additional Eye Candy if they just want to browse around and look over the Colorized Examples and also the groups of Tips & Timesavers--even if they are not quite ready to place an order.

This is just one of the many new colorized examples I added to the site in the past couple of weeks. That image even has an enlarged version linked to it so you can view it closer with all the texturing and detailing.

Thanks all,
Mike Jackson

Hi Everyone,

The timing of this post is perfect. I have a couple projects right now that require a classic old look and have wanted to get a clipart CD of Mike's for a long time (Since Bloomington). Since this post appeared on my 40th birthday, I decided the Ameriana Collection CD was going to be my birthday present to myself.

I have also been anxious to attempt glue chip on glass. I inherited a Rawson & Evans sign recently and it has given me the bug to try something new with gold leaf. This CD will be perfect for my attempts at gold leaf on glass. (tried it a long time ago).

I can't wait to get the CD and am faxing an order this afternoon.

Thanks Ray for sharing your excitement. It's contagious.

WOW. Speaking of Period ART. I didnt have a clue as to what i would do with it. Suddenly today,,,

I got a job that will require some period art. I had a sample of Don's from his Teaser cd printed out and on the desk and a customer saw it in passing and said thats what I am talking about. I never thought much about it cuz I thought the local markets didn't want that kind of stuff.

I am Wrong. So now im goona look at Coplen's and Jacksons stuff a lot closer and try to find a way to buy some..
