I see TinyURL used on many programming groups I frequent, but I don't think I've seen it used here, so I thought I'd introduce you guys to it.
It works like this. Say, for example, you are looking at a book on Amazon.com and want to post the url so others can find it - or email the URL to a buddy.
Have fun!

Hi Mark.
This URL is pretty tiny already...and I'm willing to bet that it will be of interest to you.

Jon,
Yes, the ubb does provide excellent hyperlinking so TinyURL makes less sense here than in newsgroups or email.

Hey Mark.
I wasn't trying to be "clever"...just recommending the book "The Tipping Point" (fascinating reading -- think you would enjoy it). Sorry I wasn't clearer.

Oh...and thanks for the suggested reading!

Oh! I didn't take it the wrong way at all, and didn't mean to indicate I did. The Tipping Point is on my bookshelf, and I'm about half done with it. Thank YOU for the suggestion! I will finish it now. Posted by Stephen Deveau (Member # 1305) on :
