I understand due to a major solar flare this week, we may be seeing some spectacular northern lights....as far south as TEXAS!!!!!
So...if it's clear out where you are, and it's kinda sorta here tonight...go look outside!

I've seen the Northern Lights three times here in Texas but so far, not tonight. When I lived in Calgary, Aberta, I saw some spectacular shows, however, the best I ever saw was in Edmonton. I'm sure Dan will break loose from his job up there long enough to soak it in.

You Might think you have seen the Northern Lights, but ask Mike O'Neil, You really have'nt seen the Northern Lights intil you've seen them in Labrador, it's an endless show, that does'nt seem to stop.

Got to see the Northern Lights while at Pat Welter's in Unity, Sk. A beautiful sight.
Last Saturday while in the Catskill mountains I saw the most spectacular cloud formations in my life. It looked like giant vails of very delicate whispy clouds over the normal clouds. Naturally, it had to be the week end without the camera.

Hi Guys, there is a pretty good site describing the Northern Lights. The best feature is the forcaster.
On a side note, I use to work there many years ago. Enjoy, Steve

Northern Lights are spectacular here, and I was looking forward to seeing them during this solar storm, unfortunately we've had thick cloud and heavy (40"+) snow these past few days and no clear skies are in the 5 day forcast
That's a lovely picture Tim.
