Diane, Here's what I found in a google search about the .mix format. The MIX file format is the Microsoft PhotoDraw master file format. By default, PhotoDraw saves the pictures you create in MIX format. Check out this website and refer your client to it. http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA010551581033&CTT=6&Origin=EC010553071033 It appears this file should be changed to a .tif in order to be opened in other graphics program. Thank you for your time in coming up with some information for me. I will relay this to the person who inquired.
By the way, I live near Albany NY. It was founded in the late 1600's by the Dutch. People from this area left here in the 1700's 1800's and founded other Albany's and same name towns in Oregon too. \ Thank you again.

Diane, Albany, NY did have something to do with Albany, Georgia. Here's a bit of history for you. By 1831 Macon and Columbus had been established along the Ocmulgee and Chattahoochee rivers. Business leaders in Hawkinsville offered to back Nelson Tift, a 25-year-old Connecticut native and successful Augusta businessman, in the settlement of a new town on the west bank of the Flint River at the south fork of the Muckalee Creek. Tift chose the name of Albany for his new town because of its similarity to Albany, New York, another city at the head of a navigable river. Albany was established in 1836. Judy
