I came across some old video Tape of my old workshop from about 10 years ago, and it showed my old camm1 plotting a logo, Man I tell you that thing was slooow, but it was kind of nice to see how things have changed for me. I was still doing some signs by hand, along with the plotter. But My envision, and edge sure have speeded things up. With everyone wanting things instantly, if I had that old plotter, I probably would have thrown it through the window by now, but it was a reliable machine all the same.

still got my 1050 workin... had an offer where i might part with it, but only 'cause i have a graphtec backin up my envision... would never risk having only one plotter. Yeah, the 1050 was slow & cumbersome to work with, but it played a big part of getting me where i am today.

I agree Doug..My PNC 1000 gave me my start too.
After I bought my CM24 I kept the 1000 for a couple of years "as a backup". Then I sold it. I haven't, "touch wood", had any probs with the CM24 but if I had an opportunity to buy an inexpensive older cutter I think I would, just as a backup unit.
Those older cutters are tough as heck!

I remember working at a shop with a PNC-1000, that thing enough downforce to cut through steel! Well not really, But it was nice to be able to cut 20" instead of the cursed 4B we had (I know, I know, many here still use one)

i got a PNC-1000 in the mobile shop, slow but it will get the job done. ive had this one since 1993 it was my 1st plotter. i snaged a PNC-1100 couple years ago on ebay, i bid on it, someone over bid me then didnt follow thru so the seller called me wanted to know if i wanted it told him yes at my bid...so i bought it. iam lookin for a newer plotter....and i got the pnc-1000 already spoke for for $600.
