Hi Y'all,

Sorry I've been away.

I have two small plaques integral to a larger sign. They've been painted with 1 shot and gold leafed (recessed letters). Been drying for a week or two. I recently took a scuff pad to the paint and was wondering if there is someway to bring up the 1 shot's gloss again without repainting (hassle rolling with bleed and don't wanna brush around lettering). I had in mind an exterior clear like Krylon and don't really want to get into Polyurethane clear, etc. As said, they're small plaques. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Fran.
Just used a product called Pelucid POR15.
It was like dipping the sign in liquid glass.
It dried like it was encased in a layer of crystal clear glass, too.
You really should spray it for best results...but DON'T USE MY CARDBOARD SPRAYBOOTH SUGGESTION FROM A FEW MONTHS BACK! This stuff is HIGHLY explosive.

Pelucid is FROM POR15, but don't BUY POR15. Its not the same product. Just ask for Pelucid.

Thanks, guys. Where do I buy it. Geeez, just glossing up the 1 shot background of a sign> Perhaps I chould check with my local autobody to see if their spraying clear shortly? Over 1 shot???

Fran..Beware taking the sign to an autobody shop and telling them to "clear it" when they are shooting some clear on something else. UNLESS you are prepared to risk having the One-Shot wrinkle, especially after you have "scuffed" it. Why not spray it yourself with One-Shot 4005 clear?
