Who'se using what to heat acrylic for bending. I'm thinking of menu holders & the like, but would look at a 48" - 52" unit..

Mike

just set a nickel cadmium wire just below a flat surface...the depth determines the heat applied...then create a jig for the bend..get ya a transformer with leads going to both ends...and wola!...transformer determines heat applied also for bending different thicknesses...same methods and equipment used to cut foam...

Does that all make sense?

Mike, just clamp your folds in a vice with metal strips each side of fold line. Heat fold line with a paint stripper gun and bend ... best use something same length fold flat and even ... 2x4?

It's easy with little jobs .. tricky with bigger as you can get wrinkles like us old dudes [Smile]
