What do you have to pay for acrylic sheeting 1/8 in. white, 4' by 8' in your area? I find the prices in some places a difference of $30 per sheet? I don't want to ship, but am looking around. Has the price jumped? I've seen prices from $60 to $90. But, when I purchased polycarbonate a 18 month ago, it seemed to only be $110. What is the average price? I need to only get two ea. for a project.

Hiya Deb,
For a 4' x 8' x .125" white acrylic - $44.07 - delivered to my door, next day, via Harbor Sales. I can buy it locally for a little less but I'll either have to pay a delivery fee or pick it up myself.
Havin' fun,
Checkers

I have three choices here. acrylic, sign grade acrylic, or polycarbonate. I have been using the SGA and have had no problems with it. It is $70 a sheet.

Thank you Scooter and Donald:) what is the dif between sign grade and regular? It would be good to know. How do you know the difference also when you receive it? Is there a stamp on it, grade, or number? That is very interesting. When you get a chance in your busy day, could you post? Scooter, did you have to pay trucking charges? About how much was that? I used to go down to Columbus when I lived there and pack the van with plexi and lumber, paint and vinyl when it was a large order, otherwise, work with a local glass company with a discount price. Going to make some phone calls!

i get sign grade and i just measured it on my digital caliper and it's .179....it comes 51" x 100" and it cost $108.16. i guess the difference would be durability and thickness. apparently i get boned up here in the north country.

Okay,
so Karyn, we need to get you hooked up with a better supplier! as for the rest, you're on your own, gal. Ha, Ryan, get back to work, quit using this bb for your jollies.

The sign grade is suppose to be very comparable to polycarbonate. Somewhat unbreakable. The regular acrylic will break or crack pretty easily. The SG has AcryliteSG on the paper on the outside.
