hey letterheads, maybe someone can tell me why I keep getting repaeted messages from anyone who sends me one of those im's from the BB.
last week I got one from Bruce Bowers, that I had to acknowledge maybe 20 times before I finally clicked on the box to keep from getting im messages. Now today I am getting the same thing from George Perkins and Joey Madden. I enjoy hearing from people But I really dont think I need to see the same message 20 times or more. Maybe this is a glitch in the software. Hopefully someone has a cure for it so I can allow people to communicate with me thru the im. I kida like that option to be able to invite another letterhead or just bs with someone who doesnt want to be on chat at the same time.
HELP!

yeah, I've had them come back 3 or 4 times. I use the back button a lot to go to the list of discussions after reading a post. That seemed to have something to do with it.

I rarely use the back button and it still seems to happen Posted by Joe Rees (Member # 211) on :
I could live without 'em.

I've been getting IM's too, but not from anyone here, but from companies trying to sell me viagra & "enlargement" pills.
Could having this feature here, cause me to get these some kind of way?
I tried deleting the messenger in win XP, but it wont let me delete it.

Been happening to me too!
Someone thought I needed a pair of 'rose colored glasses'... lol
Kept getting the same message throughout the day, at least 20 times, while cruising through Letterville.
Hmmm? Maybe I could use them glasses...
Cher.

Apparently the spammers have another way to get us. I never had these things before they started having that feature on the BB.
I tried deleting messenger altogether but it won't let me delete it. So, I did a Google search on it and found a website where they tell you how to really disable the damn thing.

I'm wondering about this too. Yesterday morning Troy said Hi to me about 20 times, I clicked the im above to reply and Troy wasn't even on the list ?????? The pop-up didn't go away until I did BTW, Good Morning Troy.
