Can anybody tell me how to get a display on the toolbar that shows you how big a highlighted object is. So I can click on an object and it will tell me on the top how big it is. Thanks in advance . . . . John

John..In earlier versions you just selected the object or text and it displayed the size for you. In recent versions (9-11 I believe) it still displays the size of "objects" but not text.

You have 2 options...Either convert the text to cures OR click on the bottom right corner of the shape tool and then, in the flyout, select the "free transform tool". Then the text size will be displayed.

It is a "feature" that I dislike very much but haven't found a way around it.

I hope this is what you were looking for.

I didn't like not having it either. The default transformation bar works on everything but text.

I stumbled on this by mistake.

Put some text on your page and select it, go to "Tools" then "Customizaton" and put an x in the "transform" box and it will add one to your desktop that will work for text. Just drag it up to the top. Now you have one.
