Great link!
Thank you again for always having good information to share that is a little above what a lot of us may already know in technical matters not completely sign related. It is appreciated.

Thanks Curtis. I could actually comprehend what this guy is saying [Wink] . I loved his "common sense" approach without all the guru techie talk that is over my head.

For those who really want to tweak their system and stop viruses from attacking them, a change from OutLook Express to Mozilla is your answer for now. It always seemed to me that viruses were written for Microsoft and the masses who use Microsoft and not for Macs and programs like Mozilla.

Tell me I'm wrong? [Smile]

Instead of messing around with Outlook, which is the main carrier of the virii, switch to Eudora or Netscape/Mozilla.

quote:
Regardless of the reason, I was able to continue with business as usual despite the news of "the most devastating e-mail virus yet released". Being different was my best defense and I have news of friends who use Windows, were infected but did not propagate the virus. They just happened to use Netscape, Eudora or PM-Mail as their e-mail programs and not Outlook. This small degree of difference was enough to stop the virus from spreading from their machines to others over the Internet although it did not prevent damage from being done to their files.
Switch from Outlook

not using outlook.
i do every thing this guy writes about myself. and i do not have the virus problem. In fact most people who frequent computer security and software testing sites already do all this stuff..
Now thats what im talking about.
