A contractor faxed me a bid request and it's for exterior signage, preferred material is UV resistant plastic laminate to be hung from a guard rail, it's 2' x 1'. What the heck would that material be? [Dunno]

Mark I use a UV plastic laminate on all of my digital prints for scratch resistance and also to help keep the colors from fading.

If I'm not mistaken, you can get clear rigid sheets that are thicker than what I use that do pretty much the same thing.

It's just some simple text. Could those sheets be lettered with vinyl? Can the corners be rounded and holes drilled into it to hang it?

Sounds like the fiberglass panels that some areas use for road signs.
