I'm hoping this post from last week will answer most questions. Those that know nothing about IRC Chat will have the least problems with this chat. Experienced users, with registered nicks, will find they have to use the /nickserv identify password command and then followup with the /join #letterville command.

Mike,
The ORIGINAL green button is still there, too.

For anyone who misses the simplicity of it, or just can't get the hang of the new look green button, I had it bookmarked prior to the new button and here's the link.

I've done it all right too (loaded the apllet) and I get the following message...followed by non access.

<mode change "nxiM for user Monte Jumper
#Letterville cannot join channel
must identify to your nick name to join an unmanaged channel...not in any channel yet, please type in "/join#your channel first.>

Never had this problem with the old green chat button and on the off chance I do get on after about 4 types messages it seizes and I have to leave.

Now you know if there is any way to screw up a cccomputer program I can...but best I can tell I've done evrything the way it was spose to be done.

Any solutions?
