I used Optima in Omega quite a bit but now want to use it in CorelDraw. Is it a .ttf or is there one like it that is?

Corel calls it Zapf Humanist. It'll be on the #1 disk with the program. I usually copy the entire fonts collection to my hard drive to make installing them easier.

Joe, this is probably a dumb question, as it probably would be easy to find out...but has anybody thought about renaming fonts like this? I mean, why let the computer call it zapt humanist is we want to call it optima?

Very good point Don, and I sympathize. Certainly easy enough to change the file name. Windows doesn't care as long as it ends in .ttf

Never knew you could rename types without hurting the files.
Nuts, like I don't have enough on my plate, now I'll be up all night dreaming up names that actually look like the letter styles.

I wasnt aware you could rename a ttf. Even if you can in my case it would really screw things up now. I must have thousands of corel job files with the old font names and if you were to open them up with the new ones it would tell you the font was missing.
Its never simple.

To rename a font you need a utility that actually goes into the font and changes the "Menu Name". This can be done with Fontographer, FontLab and a host of shareware and freeware utilities that you can find by doing a search on the internet. Tucows.com is probably a good place to find a selection of them.
