Somebody up there has a virus and I don't know who it is or if it's even someone on this BB, but I'm suspecting it's a signmaker here cause I've been getting virus emails with all sorts of recognizeable signmaker names on them, all coming from the SAME person or ISP!
If you're a customer of MT&T Advanced Communications or Aliant Telecom (domain name mpoweredpc.net), scan your system or pull it offline and fix it, this is where a good number of the emails I'm receiving are originating from.

Not my system Mike
It's clean and not getting anything related.
It could be from anyone or where, here in Nova Scotia.
I never keep anyones address on the Addressbook. I write them in a book if I want to E-Mail.

I got home last night and on that computer I had an e-mail from someone I've never heard of (not even sign related) saying I had sent them a virus. I have been very careful, keeping updated and scanning my system. Pretty sure I'm not sending any viruses to anyone. I guess it's possible that a virus could pick my address up from an infected computer and making it look like I sent it. Everyone I talk to is getting these darn things.....viruses and spam, both are aggrivating.

Now I'm getting them from a supposed "Microsoft" address telling me to install this patch immediately.
When I scan the attachment for viruses this is the message.
Scan result: Virus W32.Dumaru@mm found. File not cleaned.

I called my computer guys yesterday, that is a worldwide problem, it's not a destructive virus but a major annoyance. It goes to your address book and keeps sending this message to anybody it can get thru to and the ones it can't it sends you an undeliveable message. Microsoft and virus software should catch up and block it in a couple of days. I hope they catch up to whomever did it

I'm all clean here. As Bob mentioned, this is a world-wide thing - big enough to make the news. There were three major viruses/worms within a timeframe of a week or two which is unusual in itself. I guess it's a situation that will be with us for a long time. It's become routine with my morning coffee...delete,delete,delete. I don't even bother trying to determine where they're coming from anymore. They're very clever masqueraders anyway.
