One of the advantages of living near the Canadian border is CBC broadcasts.
Gordon Lightfoot concert is on now. Even in his weakened condition, a great singer and balladier.

Big Lightfoot fan here. Saw him in concert once, from front row center no less.

Sorry to be missing the concert.

Watched Shania tonight though.

What is the weakened condition you mentioned?

He plays in PRESCOTT every 2-3 years or so. I have been to his last three, and one earlier concert in Phoenix in the early 70s, the night he introduced CAREFREE HIGHWAY....KOOOOOL

I watched Shania too. I may not be her biggest fan, but the grand-daughter has been over since the weekend, so it was either that, disney channel or animal planet, so I enjoyed the music very much... (not bad scenery either)

Rick, the weakened condition as far as I can gather is a long recovery from abdominal surgery.
From another BB, they were talking about a surgery back in sept. 2002, for an aneurysm which could take all of his 2003 tour away.
I didn't know about it, but noticed right away the loss of strength in his voice, especially seemed to me using only his vocal cords.
