Got over to the mainland the other day with the family. We all enjoy a game or two of mini golf, so we were of to Giggle Ridge. I have seen some of Dan's work on the Island, all of it very nice, but nothing compared to what he has built for himself. Pictures do not do it justice, but gives you a taste of what it is about. Going there I just may understand why Dan is such a positive person, the place just makes you smile and feel like a kid again, magic. Also swung by Giggle Ranch on the way back to meet Dan and see his shop in the making. He was getting busy for a large concrete pour the next day so we did not take too much of his time I hope. He took us around and explained his vision for the shop and the property. Dan, thanks for the tour and the complimentary tickets. We did go back later and played another round. If you are ever in the lower mainland I strongly suggest visiting Giggle Ridge, it'll recharge you batteries.

I posted this the other day, shortly after your visit...
quote:Only in Letterville.com could you 'meet' great folks who talk 'sign language' virtually and as you go through life meet many of them in person later.
Back in June I was blown away with the kind folks who read of my adventures on-line and then jumped in their cars and drove hundreds of miles to give me a hand on those murals in Sterling. It turned a challenging job into a great adventure!
From time to time a fellow Letterhead will drop in on me for a little visit, something I always enjoy. It is great to chat with fellow brothers & sisters of our craft, even if we sometimes do things a little differently. I always learn something and hopefully the visitors go away with a little more than they came with too.
Today I had a delightful visit by Peter Schuttinga & his family ( D Zines Sign Studio )from Victoria, B.C. Nice folks!
The visit was a little short, as we were a little hard pressed to get ready for a massive concrete pour tomorrow morning. But they did get a round of golf in at Giggle Ridge as well as a tour of our new shop/studio under construction. I look forward to picking up where we left off with our visit at the meet in Nanaimo!
Thanks for taking the time to drop in Peter!

Thanks so much for the kind words, it makes my day when someone understands what we are trying to accomplish with our work. (and play)
I appologise for having to rush our visit a little, and look forward to the time when things are a little more finished and I can afford the opportunity to kick back and really visit when folks drop by.
The massive concrete pour went well the next day and we are now ready for the next big step... THE ROOF!
And then it will only be a very short while until we are productive again in our brand new shop!!
