For those who might have had the opportunity to meet Bob, I wanted to let you know that he has been in since Monday and they hope to complete tests tommorrow to find out what is wrong.
He has a been a great contributor willing to always share his vast knowledge in glass and an all round great guy.
I wish him well!

There are two Bob Pickards...both in Oklahoma City
Both are kind gentlemen... One is a sign painter and design artist raised in Norman Oklahoma and recently retired...his shop was not far from Fred Selfs.
The other specializes in working on Etched Glass and is a consumate artist.
Since you have been to several meeets at Freds where Bob Pickard #2 has been a participant I would assume it is he.
So as not to create any confusion could you specify which one you are speaking of?

I did not realize there were two...and yes...my reference was to Bob, the glass carver. I hope to know more tomorrow.

Thanks Robert. Please keep us posted, and yes bob is truly a fine gentleman. He was so kind at this year's Swampland meet as to spent quite a bit of time helping those of us who were interested in his glass carving techniques.

An update on Bob!
He has had a minor stroke, but the doctor's expect a full recovery. He has not suffered any paralysis, but it has affected his speech. He will be in therapy for that. He was in the Shawnee hospital, but was moved to Southwest Integris in Oklahoma City. They will be running some test tomorrow, but expect that he will be released by the end of the week. They would appreciate any and all prayers which I assured her were being said for Bob and his family at this time.

Thanks Bob for the clarification...hate to here this kind of news on anyone.
I wish Bob the best of recovery...knowing him he will not be down long.He loves to teach so I know he will work hard on his speach therapy.
For those of you that have not met Bob...seek him out if you are in Okc sometime...he does things to glass you've never even thought of.
Hope for a fast recovery and no long lasting symptoms...God bless you Bob.
