Is it possible to make an Adobe file from an existing Gerber file set up for the Edge, with fades and all that? What I need is a way to get a file to a screen printer for T's and this logo has fades outlines and what not. Any help would be great!

Hi There. All you need to do is (1)Go to file and then hit export It is the opposite of import from there on. It walks you thru it. Hope this helps.

Yes, the export feature does work.
That said, you may want to open the file in AI yourself before sending it to screen. Export Gerber color info can lead to muddy colours on the AI end of things. If you've got a nice Ruby Red (EDGE) fill for instance, chances are it will be more burgundy when opened in AI. Some CMYK tweaking in Ai may be necessary to keep it close to your Gerber original.

I always had to use "save as" because import seemed to be taking me somewhere else to do with foils etc.
Or if you have any edge positive you could take on the work of providing films instead.

Yeahh... it lost the fades but I went back and did the outlines over and then the fades.... I'm running Adobe 3.0. I got it to where the printer likes it. Thanks every one!!
