I need an outdoor paint to match a light yellow.
Specifically I'm trying to get as close as I can to an Oracal 651 series 025 brimstone yellow.
It's a lighter color than the lightest yellow I can find in the One shot chart. I tried adding a lil' bit of white and it just came out looking like mustard. Any ideas or another paint source ?

Thanx !

Steve

What are you painting? It may effect what lines of paint are appropriate alternate suggestions for you.

Add a "DROP" or two of FLOURESCENT from One Shot
that should help!
IF NOT you will be able to see the effect for other applications.

Hope this helps

I would just go with lemon yellow tinted with a white enamel(not 1-shot lettering white, although Pat's answer would get it closer). Or try Ben Moore 2022-30 Bright Yellow. Neither of these is exact, but they are so close you probably couldn't tell them apart if you had the vinyl in one hand and a paint swatch in the other, at arms length. Or you could scan it at a paint store with a color matching system and see how close they can get. What are you painting?

Thanks for your replies.
It's crunch time so i'm gonna go with what I have and hope for the best. I don't like to take a chance like this but at this point i'm runnin' out of choices. It's more important to get this baby in the ground. If I have to come back so be it. I will get some fluorescent for future use.

The answer to what am I painting...Sandblasted oval 48" x 96" flat black bg with glossy yellow copy and a glossy yellow and glossy sky blue logo.
Posts are yellow too.

Thanx for your info. Is always appreciated !

Steve

Polar white would lighten primrose yellow better than lettering white. Lettering white is on the grey side for better coverage in a single stroke.
