Hello, how is everyone doing? We are a sign shop up in the mountains just outside of Denver Colorado. Our shop is small and we do not have the room to do our own sandblasting. We are sending all of our sandblasting to someone in Denver right now. His work is good most of the time. He is fairly fast and cheap but, we are looking to try somewhere else just to see if we could get better qualtiy for around the same price. Does anyone out there have a shop in Denver or know of a place in the area that could help us?

Thanks for the help

Jeff, If he's charging a handsome price for shoddy work I can see getting someone else. But, better quality for a cheap price?

What is it that they're doing that isn't up to snuff?

Jeff, I apologize for being harsh.
I'm sending you an email with the name of a company who sells wholesale sandblasted signs.

Why not explain to him what you would want better and offer more $$$ because it will require more time ? He's probably trying to cut you a bottom price.

Sorry I can't really help you with blasters in your area, but I wanted to clarify the above statement. If your subs work is erratic that can be mighty frustrating. Its always smart to have an alternate source in case one gets backed up or has health or equipment problems. I was blessed (back in the day) to have a very reliable and conscientious blaster that treated me well. When you find one that does it well, price is secondary, and I think that's what the previous posters are hinting at. Sometimes I would pay mine more than he asked, as a tip, to show my appreciation. That practice paid me back well when I needed a rush or other favor from him. Good luck.

Locate someone in your area that has sand blasting equipment and offer them 50 or 100 dollars an hour to use it (yourself)the quality becomes your responsibility and the guy is happy to have the money for equipment that is probably lying idol 50% of the time.

Thats what I do here and I have blasted anywhere between $1000. t0 $10,000. worth of signs in an hour to two hours time.

The guy is so happy to see me everytime I show up that he drags out all the hoses...fills the blast tank...and provides the blast helmet breathing gear.

Can't ask for a better set up than this...I also have a back up guy wishing I would come there more often than I do.

Likely suspects for equipment? Concrete companies, cemetary monument makers, drilling companies, mining operations, county road crews,masons...they're out there just gotta find one!
