Here .. I'll post it, see how long it takes to get out of your heads ...
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble When you're perfect in every way I can't wait to look in the mirror Cuz I get better lookin each day
To know me is to love me I must be a hell of a man Oh Lord it's hard to be humble But I'm doin' the best that I can
... Bet you'll be singin it all week..

Yes, Mike, it's called "radiohead"... Hear a song a even a bit of one and it will be forever in your brain...
The song you refer to is "It's Hard to Be Humble" by Mac Davis. Here's the rest of the words to fill the blanks...
"It's Hard to Be Humble" by Mac Davis
Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way I can't wait to look in the mirror 'cause I get better lookin' each day
To know me is to love me I must be a hell of a man Oh Lord it's hard to be humble but I'm doing the best that I can
1:
I used to have a girlfriend but I guess she just couldn't compete With all of these love-starved women who keep clamoring at my feet Well, I prob'ly could find me another but I guess they're all in awe of me Who cares I never get lonesome 'cause I treasure my own company
2: I guess you could say I'm a loner a cowboy outlaw tough and proud Oh I could have lots of friends if I wanna but them I wouldn't stand out in a crowd Some folks say that I'm egotistical, hell, I don't even know what that means I guess it has something to do with the way that I fill out my skin-tight bluejeans

I've got "acute radiohead", luckily for me that song won't stick. Nope, just won't get past Oh Lord, before it would shift into Mecedes Benz by Janis Joplin, which is just about as annoying , so my brain would pick something more suitable to listen to like Move Over, which by the way is exactly what's been on an endless loop so long I had to come back here and post .
OK, want something guaranteed to stick in your head? Try this.........Shirley, Shirley bo burly, bananafana fo furly

If I want to drive my daughter nuts, all I have to do is start humming the tune to the Beverly Hillbillies. She'll have it stuck in her head all day... probably because it reminds her too much of the ol' sign shoppe.

George, try it with Chuck. lol. We taught it to our typing teacher in high school, then told her to try Chuck. She wasn't real happy with us.
The worst ones for me are "cause you're hot, wet & sticky" and "did a bad, bad thing" thanks to the Tom Cruise movie...

Had that experience last week. Heard a song for the first time last the night before, and it was all I could do the next day to not hum or wistle it, all the while grinning form ear to ear. The song may not be politically correct, but it is pretty funny. It's called 'The Camel Toe Song'. If you are easily offended by references to female anatomy than please dont listen ot it. It's on teh internet somewhere, a friend sent it to me via E-mail.

A couple of months ago I painted a sign for a friends greenhouse - Green Acres Greenhouse. When I delivered it I told her I was going to charge her double for sanity pay - every time I walked by I found myself singing in a pathetic rendition of Zsa Zsa Gabour (sp?). What was really fun was that just after I told her that, one of her customers walked by singing Green Acres - She said that it happens constantly!

I hav a song, that my mother used to sing. It still goes through my mind anytime I wish to relax and forget Mac Davis's song. LOL Catalina, madilina, hoopenstaken-bogenlaggen hogan, bogen, logan, was her name. She had two eyes in front of her head, One was purple the other was red. Catalina, Madilina, Hoopenstaken-bogenlaggen Hogan, Bogen, Logan was her name.
There may have been more verses, but these are the only ones I ever heard. Bill

At least YOUR minds are chosing the repetitious song of choice! Grandma was over yesterday and sang this silly kiddie song for Cody. He was cranky and requested verse after verse after verse and if Grandma didn't oblidge, she heard about it.
(sang to the tune of Campbell's soup advertisment)
Cody Blue Lost his shoe, Then he cried... (very slowly) Boo.... boo... boo...
Then Cody wanted the version with the broken tree, the cornfield, the dog...
I'll take the Beverly Hillbillies over an hour of the above anyday!
