I have an opportunity to buy a nearly new Summacut D60 (24") plotter.
I'll be running it with Windows XP, CorelDraw 11, and CocutPro.
If you have, or do, use one of these, what do you think?

Hey there Buffalo Gal.......I bought my D60 from Summa 2 years ago and I still haven't been able to wipe this smile off my face('cept for my picture here). I work in Corel 7 and cut through CoCut Pro. Never a problem. I'm a 1-man shop, but sometimes my cutter is running non-stop all day. I've cut lengths up to 20 feet without a problem(as long as the vinyl is loaded straight). Plus, I still have the original blade in the machine. I bought 2 extras when I ordered from Summa, but the original one still cuts like new. I just can't get over it. You should do well with your new set-up. Good luck..........cool.

Hi Jennifer,
I have a D60 I purchased new 3.5 yrs ago and am still on the same blade. I was going to do a bunch of brushed gold and thought I'd put a new one in and the old one still looked new? I run corel 9 w/cocut pro. Works like a charm!

HEY YOU GUYS!!!
Yer not supposed to be saying that you can actually cut vinyl without using a "Signmaking" software program are you???
What would SignLab and Casmate and Gerber and all of them think???? LOL LOL

No Dave, CoCut Pro IS sign-making software & yes, it requires a dongle to use. It just doesn't have all the features you'd find in the other programs.

Hi Jennifer,
I've been using my D-60 since January (I know that hasn't been very long) with CoCut Pro and it's been great! I use Illustrator and Corel Draw and no problems so far.... Being as you are so close to their office in Seattle you have one advantage that I didn't when I was making my decision... You can go and visit. Ginny was great to work with and I would gladly get another Summa in a heartbeat.
Dave, maybe someday I'll get me one of those new fangled sign making programs and put away my #2 pencil and paper. It would be nice to just type in my sign order, come back in from the hot tub and cold drink and package it up for the customer....

I bought mine nearly new with signlab 5 a couple years ago and it is great. Summa makes a great product only thing I needed to do was tighten a couple screws that came loose. I do all my design work in Corel Draw 9 then cut from Signlab. I figure since I have Signlab I might as well try and use it. I also have tried it with windows XP and it works good too. I have used a roland CM 24 and a Summa T750 and my Summa D60 well my suma D60 beats the roland but if you have the money get the T750 it is really nice.

I've had mine about 6 months and no complaints. Their customer service is also very good.

I bought my D-60 last year, and recommended it to a friend of mine who bought one also. We both are positive we made the best decision. Ive never had to call tech yet and dont look to. Cant say enought about em.
