I have posted the following piece on the Letterville Auction...
Any proud Poles out there? This original piece is the prototype to a poster designed by the late Alexander Zanetti. Due to his untimely death, the poster never reached production. The actual calligraphy was done by a student of his, a well-regarded calligrapher in her own right.
The piece is framed and is 28" x 22". Frame and plexiglass are included.
The piece is a listing of the names of famous Polish people. The top half is calligraphed in red ink on a white background and the bottom half done in white ink on a red background to give the overall, cumulative effect of the Polish flag.
There is a very small, barely perceptible flaw in the bottom half of the piece that has been repaired. A close-up shot of that area will be furnished upon request.
Buyer will pay all shipping, insurance and other related charges such as duty if shipped outside of the US. Payment will be in US funds only.
This is the last piece designed by Alexander Zanetti that will be available for sale. Posted by Don Coplen (Member # 127) on :
A grand gesture, Kimberly! I hope that it ends up in appreciative hands....and am certain it will.
