Although I don't know exactly what the people at "Paint the Prarie" have planned for events, I think one thing that was left off of the list above might be brushes! We always pack the brush box when we go to a meet. We will have a lot of brushin' going on at LetterRip! Hope you all have a good time, learn something new and make some new friends. Jane

I'm sure I will meet some great new people - I'm really looking forward to that. I like to have fun! When you say panel - does that mean a blank panel to work on or something I already made to trade? Looking soooo forward to this - and I am pretty relaxed about it - mostly eager anticipation at spending time with others who love the same stuff I do - creating and learning. I think I'm bringing a tent so hope the weather's not too bad!

Just reread your list Duncan - are we pinstriping hockey sticks LOL- maybe I'll bring my son's goalie stick to flame - cool! Won't he be impressed! I think I'll do that!

Dang! We hate to miss a Letterhead Meet!
Is there anything we can do from this end to make the meet more special? What about HeadTV? If someone has a webcam, we'll make sure you have the software needed.
My only advice for a first-timer is to get involved. Yes! You may feel intimidated at first. We've all been through that feeling. The important thing is to toss off your insecurities and jump in with both feet.
Letterville is looking for someone attending their first meet to document the experience for everyone. All of us met people and had unique, personal experiences at our first meet. Please share these with us.
Email your photos at the earliest opportunity and we'll do our best to get them online.
A special thanks to those who host these meets. Size really don't matter when it comes to Letterhead/PinHead Meets. Everyone has it's own special flavour.
Let's not forget those that take the time to attend these meets. It takes guts to leave the ruts! If you have questions or concerns about your business, or have a burning desire to be the best you can be, now is the time to get up off your best intentions and make a move to start the process of change. It's going to require an investment of time and money, but the rewards are well worth it. Just do it!

If you can get to the meet the day or night before, there will probably be a few of other early birds to hang out with. This is usually a fun time to relax, explore, BS, drink beer and help the hosts with their last minute, frantic chores.

Kelly,
If I were attending this meet, I'd be begging you to tote in that pig you did! That was a beautiful piece of machinery!
Maybe they'll talk you into making another one! Who knows what will happen? LOL
You have the lists of things to bring. I hope you have a glorious time and I'll warn ya, after the meet you'll be racking your brain to remember everything all at once. Pay attention whilst you're there and it will all come back to you as you need it. I'm still remembering things I saw and learned at meets and I haven't been to one in...uhm...a long time. Just relax and enjoy yourself...you'll have a ball!
PS - Congratulations! Your life will never be the same after this! (I say that like it's a good thing!)

Hey Kelly! I'm sure Pat will have plenty of Panels at the meet, but bring something you want to paint or we'll make something up! I'm bringing my Panel, which is Glass. I hope it survives the flight, bepends on how drunk the Northwest Pilots are.
If you wanna do some hand lettering stuff, I'd be glad to do some one on one from basics to really fun Split blend shades etc. You'll get lots of practice in....remember, don't worry about who's watching you or whatever, we are all here to learn, share and teach each other. I learn more and more at every gathering I go to. I just wish I had more time to get involved at the meets I host but it's tough.
Hats off to those of us who have ran a meet. Just like Letterheads itself, If you need help or advise running a meet, we are here to help you out as well. I suggest Monster Trucks and strippers on Buffalo's but that's just me.
I hope Pat will have Moose to hold over the fire instead of marshmellows.
COme on pat and Ruth! Fire us UP!!!

Be prepared for a 'Life altering' experience, in the most positive way. A thousand new doors will open for you, creative ideas will flourish in your brain, you will meet the most fabulous people in the world, and you will never look back. From that day forward...you will continue to beat yourself up by asking only one question: WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO GO TO MY FIRST MEET? Have a wonderful time, wish I could be there! Sue

Sounds like this meet is gonna be a blast!! If I hadn't already commited to be at the Letter-Rip meet this weekend I'd try to be there!! Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to seeing the pix and tell Mike Meyer that if the only ice around is in glasses or the cooler, just break out a pair of roller blades & give that stick a work-out anyway!!
