If the picture shows ... (I'm linking to a news site)
This is what the equipment barn at our little league complex looked like a 4:00 this morning.
Some %$#^%$ decided the kids didn't desrve to enjoy themselves and torched it. [Mad]

Have already been approached to mural a new building once built ... when that happens ... so this will be on topic someday ... for now I'm just venting ... sorry.

Bastards!

Mark, I know it won't help, but I'll be in anger and disgust with you. I live across from a ballfield and the shed/concession stand there is constantly being broken into. And our mailboxes are constantly being messed with. They're either opened (and whatever mail was in them is long gone), smashed or stolen. yes, our mailbox has been stolen before. Police don't seem to care. What else is new?

I'm not that old, but when I was a teenager, we didn't destroy anything. Just makes you wonder about the parents.

fuk the police, that is not even their jursidiction, tampering with US Mail is a federal offense. I would be very surprised if the FBI wouldn't look into that. Particiularily if it is a repeated offense, one would think they could catch the bastards.

Mark, I'd be venting too, that sucks. I hope they catch those bastards too, & make em pay!

I have two small children of my own. They both love the sport of Hockey and they both have nice arenas to play the sport in. I know for a fact that the kids would be in great pain if there were no hockey for a season or two. . .I just don't understand when there is a good thing for the kids, someone has to go and wreck it. I hope there is support to rebuild. It would show the low life, scum sucking, coward that people do care, and will provide for the people who are deserving. I have to agree, whoever did this has to be troubled and needs severe help! I do hope no one was physically injured.

Games went on as usual tonight ... we lost ... but played [Smile]
The schools kicked up the extra equipment needed to continue uninterupted.
They're insured, the community is pisz'd and fundraising has started.
They've been bugging me for artwork for years but the corrugated building never looked like much fun. If this one goes cinderblock then a few extra gallons of paint are already figured in.

Funny (not really) thing is same thing happened a few towns over a couple months ago.

Mark, Glad things are going to be replaced. So sorry to hear the bad news and about the mail thing. (I had to get a po box because of that).

Kids sometimes grow up without supervision and on the wrong track. Maybe more activities and open counseling sessions for teens may help a few. Who knows. And a reward to any info leading to the arrest of those wrongdoers so they can get some help. Good luck. Hope I can help and get to a few meets also this summer.

I'd be ****ed too. Four years ago some kids burned my kids school, church, rectory, homeless shelter and three apartment blocks to the ground. An entire city block. The church pocketed the 18.5 million in damages and told us to find a new school. I don't believe the kids did a day in jail.

Sorry to hear about that... there are a lot of low-lifes out there. Just keep in mind though, not everyone is like that... (yes, that's including teenagers... some of us do turn out ok)
