We got the call and she'll be going for all the preliminary workups. No surgery date yet, but she'll be out of touch with the BB for some time. We may be able to get her a laptop, but I don't know about a connection.
Cross your fingers.

Pierre,

I just said a prayer for Rosemary and will continue to do so.

From one know-it-all to another...

Rosemary sounds like quite the trooper! I've not had the privilege of meeting her, or you, but am sure I will somewhere in this pool of letterhead events. We too are wishing her lots of luck!

Scared - Hopeful - Grateful
That's how I feel, along with you. I'm glad finally there is a prescribed path we can believe in, and though she'll have to go through the biblical valley of pain there is a new day coming.

I'm happy that while we were all waiting for this to happen Rosemary has been able to spend a lot of time here. She has lots and lots of support, we love her whimsical and feisty self - and we count on you and Latigo to keep us up to date.

The laptop would be invaluable - I hope you can make it work out.

"Ain't no sunshine when she's gone......

Tell her Our thoughts are with her and Yours, Good Luck, I really like her Posts, I think she has a great sense of hunour, a Little warped like mine maybe.

I had remembered her as a fiesty, confident & capable woman from my earlier days on this board. I think I saw more of the child in her during her recent time spent here, & that side reminds me of my 22 year old daughter who is also a very successful woman, but always a kid to me. I pray for a successful procedure & a speedy recovery for her Pierre, & offer my sympathy & prayers for you as well as I know you have suffered with her in her pain.

I am sorry to say I don't know Rosemary or anything about her surgery, but I will keep her in my prayers, With this bunch pulling for her she can't miss. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Pierre- Rosemary will be in my thoughts and at the top of my prayer list.

I love to read her posts- she's has so much spunk and calls it like it is w/o offending anyone.

Sure hope you can swing the laptop- with 3,000+ "heads" praying and pulling for her, you just HAVE to know God's listening.

When this is over she'll look at you through even more loving eyes.

God bless. (wish there was a gremlin on his knees- I'd put it right here)

When I was in the hospital for my surgeries, I brought in my laptop and just plugged my bedside phone into it and was all set up to do the BB and irc and email. It was a far better way to spend time than watching TV and I couldn't focus enough to read. Pierre, if you can get one for her, it sure helps.

A courageous family you folks are! I really like having you as part of what God has given me.

We'll be rooting for your family, Pierre. I have faith in the doctors and holistic naturopaths. May God speed her back to us, what a great girl, as we should all be concentrating on Rosemary's recovery and positive thoughts, always, as there is a master plan.
ps. check this out while you are in Fla, please, as this is very different and has helped hundreds of thousands of severe cases of chronic pain, including some of my family members. I have never seen anything quite like it.

Thanks, gang. Cool place, the BB. And thank you for the link, Deb. Lyn will be reading it this morning.
Actually this (hopefully) final surgery will take place in (near) Ottenbach Switzerland. We don't have that schedule yet, but one of us will keep you posted.
Great, caring people. Every one of you. We'll not forget it.

Thanks, Mike. I assume you know that her "1911sr" handle means 1911 Schmidt Rubin? It's a long rifle. A Swiss VERY long rifle. Like 56" long. She can't shoot it offhand because of all the weight out front, but from prone or bench....LOOK OUT!
heh....

Pierre, I kept thinking you were returning to Fla, either way, you can get info on someone local from that link, wherever you are in the world, as it is taught worldwide. Deb
glad Rosemary has a hobby she loves and you support her in!

Pierre,

Buy Rosemary the computer for her hospital stay. A suffering woman with a laptop is far less dangerous than one with a rifle.

Posted by pierre (Member # 1462) on :

Tests are positive. They found crystallized tissue and granulation of the bone and the marrow, so she's a definite candidate. Now all we need is the date.

I'll do what I can about a laptop, but I don't know about a link from that clinic. I'll be calling them on monday at 3am Mountain time anyway, so I'll know something by then.

Thanks so much for the kindness, guys.

Pierre, I too missed this thread the 1st time around but am glad to learn that some relief may be in sight for Rosemary!! Y'all remain in my thoughts & prayers!!

p.s. If you decide to go with a laptop, I just picked up a cheap HP with a 15" screen at Circuit City for around $850 that's been working out pretty well. If you have any questions about it just give me a call.
