The REALLY wierd thing is that they both look sorta like Lat's original guitar teacher, George McGuire. He was the lead guitarist for the Righteous Brothers through the 70s. Cool, no?

I didn't see anything official stating the status of Cheryl, neither from her nor from Steve. If there was an announcement I missed it. What I did see was a nasty string of posts where insults were being hurled around by many parties. When Steve stepped up to ask everyone to calm down he was summarily dressed down by Cheryl, who went on to start another lambasting thread after that.

Steve's pretty even headed, but the situation appeared to be out of control, so maybe he did pull her plug. Only temporarily I would hope. I've gotten a lot from Cheryl in the past and she makes a great contribution here. I don't hang out enough to be on top of what all the personal issues are between the parties involved, but it was shocking to see the level of venom going through those threads. Once things ease I hope to see Cheryl again.

It was pretty mean stuff from two people, Joe. The webmaster is the webmaster. I've learned that from AW for sure. Its HIS board, not a "free speech" forum. There is no free speech on private boards. The webmaster makes the rules and you honor them or leave. Pretty simple, no?
I only ever had to kick out one person on the AW Ladies forum in two years I was Mod there, and it wans't fun. I hated to do that, but I had to follow the webmaster's rules too.
Steve and Barb are very patient and too nice to insult like that. And I think that not respecting their wishes when they ask two or three times in a row is an insult.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Rosemary. Most days, I love moderating this forum. The last few days have not been fun. Wait! I should say they have not been fun for Barb, myself and those that respect the way we manage Letterville.

Cheryl's posting rights have been suspended. Since she can no longer respond, it is unfair to discuss this matter here on the BB. Those that need to have the whole story should contact Cheryl and/or us.

I'm well aware that this situation may not be popular with some, but I stand by my decision. Everybody is invited to share in all that Letterville offers. That includes this BB and our chat channel #letterville. We have a few simple Laws Of Letterville that you have agreed to respect in return for your right to post here.

The most important law is that you treat all the other guests of our meet with respect. You don't have to love them all, just refrain from personal attacks on anyone here on this BB or the chat channel.

Let this be the last word on this subject. Direct your comments to us via email.
