I took the first large load of tools & business stuff to our new place today...
Although all the business stuff will be temporarily housed in the old leaning garage, its already a huge gain over the carport & storage trailer we've been operating from in the last while. The tools fit comfortably and there's even enough room to walk between the rows of stuff piled on the floor & shelves. Once everything is put away it will be bearable until the new spacious shop is ready.
As you can see the 'new shop' isn't pretty... and the inside is even more depressing. But it's ours!
The best part is everything will at last be in one place, and endless trips between the storage units are a thing of the past.
On closer inspection we decided to replace some of the carpet in the house and give it a coat of paint throughout... even if it is relatively temporary. And it's making a huge difference already. I'm feeling like we are home again at last!!!
Monday we begin to move the house & office stuff for real.
And here's a couple of pics of the house for you Donna...
It's been one of those weeks where nothing went quite according to plan and nowhere near the original schedule. But it's happening at last!
Oh yeah.. I almost forgot the best part... I pick up the new John Deer ridem mower tomorrow!!!

Ahhh, that's ma boy! John Deere! You will impress your farmer neighbours to no end with that lovely green and yellow combo.
Cool pics. You have some great looking old trees on that property too.
Happy moving! One day I'll stop by for some of that mennonite food at the deli. I'll bring along my Tim Horton's. Posted by Laurie Goretski (Member # 3821) on :

So when is the Shop Warming Letterhead Meet?
Looks like a great place, but I would like to see some more pics after you work a little of your magic on it.

What a cute house Dan! I think you should keep it for a guest cottage when your letterville friends come to visit! (Then you won't have to sleep with Steve...shhhh, don't tell him I said that ) I'm happy for you guys. It just goes to show, if you look long enough for the perfect opportunity, it will eventually materialize. Takes alot of hard work too.

Congratlations Dan!! I've always heard it said that a man's home is his castle and I think in your case you've got a potential palace there!! I also have the same question Don had, so....when's the shop-warming?? It's been too long since I've been in BC!! Posted by Ray Rheaume (Member # 3794) on :
Looks like a great place to create in, Dan. I have a similar view outside of my place. Good luck with the new home and shop.

"The harder you work, the luckier you get". Don't know where I heard that quote, but it sure rings true.
